About
Dr. Michalak got a start in veterinary medicine at a young age, volunteering her time at local vet hospitals. She received her BS in biology from The Ohio State University, then moved to sunny California to complete her veterinary training at Western University of Health Sciences.
She went on to complete a coveted internship at the Animal Specialty Group. Her area of expertise is feline medicine and behavior. She also enjoys volunteering her time at local shelters and internationally to provide wellness care and spay/neuter services to pets in need.
Dr. Michalak lives by the beach with her two cats, Moe and Heisman, as well as her two Mini Aussies, Carmen and Reggie. When she is not at work, she enjoys traveling, paddle boarding, and running.
