Neutering And Spaying

By neutering or spaying your new puppy, you can curb the birth of unwanted pets. Plus, research shows that neutered and spayed pets live longer, are more obedient, have less behavioral problems and are less likely to get cancer. We recommend that both neuters and spays happen around 6 months of age.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my puppy need multiple rounds of puppy injections?

Puppies receive antibodies from their mother, which can interfere with vaccine effectiveness. Multiple rounds ensure full immunity as maternal antibodies decrease.

Can my puppy socialize before completing all vaccinations?

Limited and controlled socialization with vaccinated dogs is safe. Avoid high-risk areas like dog parks and public pet spaces until your puppy is fully vaccinated.

What should I bring to my puppy’s first vet visit?

Bring any medical records, a stool sample (for parasite screening), and a list of questions regarding care, diet, and training.

How do I know which vaccines my puppy needs?

Our veterinarians tailor a vaccination plan based on your puppy’s breed, lifestyle, and risk exposure to ensure optimal protection.

Are there alternatives to traditional vaccinations?

Titer tests can measure existing immunity levels, but for puppies, standard vaccinations are the safest and most effective preventive approach.

How can I prepare my puppy for their vet visit?

Keep visits positive by bringing treats, using a calm voice, and allowing your puppy to explore the clinic environment gradually.
